About Mystic Pasta
Mystic Pasta is more than just pasta—it's a celebration of color, flavor, and family tradition. It all began in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, where founder turned her love of fresh, handmade pasta into a vibrant business rooted in the bounty of her family farm.

Using eggs from her husband’s prolific flock and herbs and greens grown just outside their home near Blowing Rock, and the offerings from local farmers, Nicole created something truly special: pasta that doesn’t just taste amazing but tells a story with every bite.

The journey started modestly in Nicole’s North Carolina-certified home kitchen, where she began experimenting with natural ingredients to create pastas in stunning hues.

Fresh beets for deep red, turmeric for a brilliant yellow, spinach and kale for vibrant greens, and butterfly pea flowers for striking blues—each batch was a work of art, as flavorful as it was beautiful.

Most important, it was fun to make.

With her daughter Chloe by her side, Nicole first brought Mystic Pasta to life at the Blowing Rock Farmers Market, where Chloe often joined her after school to connect with customers and share their passion for pasta.

Balancing the demands of her technology publishing career with her growing business, Nicole steadily built a loyal following, growing her hobby into a “jobbie”.

By 2019, increasing demand led Mystic Pasta to the bustling Watauga County Farmers Market, where it quickly became a high-country favorite.

In 2025, Mystic Pasta reached an exciting new chapter, expanding into a fully equipped commercial kitchen at Deer Valley in Boone.

This move has allowed Nicole to craft an even wider array of fresh and filled pasta varieties, along with handmade sauces, pestos, and—new for this year—traditional Italian breads. All are lovingly prepared with locally sourced ingredients, reflecting the flavors of the region.

Mystic Pasta remains deeply tied to its roots. Nestled on 10 picturesque acres along the Blue Ridge Parkway, Nicole and her family raise their own chickens and grow many of the herbs and greens used in their recipes.

Each week at the farmers market, and now at various pickup locations, they share their passion with the community, one colorful, flavorful creation at a time.

Mystic Pasta isn’t just a product—it’s an experience, a connection to the land, and a celebration of the family traditions that make life delicious.

Come taste the magic and discover why Mystic Pasta is beloved across the High Country and beyond.
